The goal of Bringing Light to Darkness is to provide a safe online resource to collect information and responsibly share research to positively problem solve our sensitive subject of sexual assault. We’ll share actions, information, and resources to improve coping and healing, and/or counseling for all survivors and more understanding for their friends, family, teachers, nurses, doctors, law enforcement and anyone else who wants to educate themselves.

To learn how to approach what can be an overwhelming topic is best approached one step at a time at one’s own pace.

The current climate of conversations of #MeToo and #TimesUp movements are here. Might as well track our progress and make room for Bringing Light To Darkness.

Action can include…

1. Collect and compare state statute of limitations of sexual assault felonies.
2. Connect with government representatives to improve policies.
3. Connect with our law enforcement, police academies, first responders and health care providers to improve education on how to best collect details from SA survivors about their sexual assault and ongoing healing.
4. Provide research findings and articles to help other survivors, family, friends, teachers, leaders, neighbors and anyone curious who want to learn how to respectfully, maturely and professionally Bring Light to the Darkness of sexual assault.
5. Attend our virtual Summit March 21, 2025 at noon ET. A variety of speakers will share healing tips and take aways. 

Many online resources cover sexual harassment, so the focus of Bringing Light to Darkness will specifically cover topics only around sexual assault and it’s trauma.

Change works best when community works together.
